Over 11 days of focused, personalised training in the cenotes of the Riviera Maya you’ll refine your technique, grow as an educator, and explore the psychology, physiology, and artistry of freediving instruction. Whether your goal is a professional career or simply to become the best version of yourself in the water, this course gives you the tools, mentorship and community to get there.

Course objectives — what you will learn & master
- Build a solid foundation in freediving theory and Molchanovs teaching standards.
- Gain confidence leading online, dry, pool and open water sessions.
- Learn to navigate and present the Molchanovs dashboard and teaching materials effectively.
- Refine your in-water technique and safety skills to become a role-model instructor.
- Practice real teaching scenarios to anticipate, troubleshoot and support students with clarity.
- Explore the psychology of teaching: managing anxiety, building trust, and preparing students mentally for depth.
Beyond the curriculum — my personal additions to the ITC
This course is infused with my practical experience as a freediver, coach and movement guide. I bring:
- Practical strategies for teaching equalization clearly and safely (including how to recognize mistakes and adapt technique for each person).
- Yoga-inspired stretching & mobility routines to support freediving performance and injury prevention.
- Somatic & psychological tools to help students find calm and expand their capacity.
- Teaching presence, deep observation and communication techniques and ways to hold safe, compassionate space for students.
These extra modules are integrated into the program to help you teach not only with technique,
but with heart and effectiveness.

Performance & certification standards
This is a performance-based course. Candidates are expected to demonstrate professionalism,
leadership and high-level freediving skills.
To enroll you should already hold:
- Molchanovs Wave 3 certification (or equivalent: SSI 3 / AIDA 4)
- Valid First Aid / CPR certificate (issued within the last 2 years)
To be certified as Molchanovs Lap/Wave 2 Instructor you will need to demonstrate (performance standards):
- CWT & FIM to 40 m
- CNF to 30 m
- 100 m DYN · 60 m DNF
- 4:00 min STA
- 25 m rescue + 50 m surface tow
- 15 m safety standby rescue (min 60 s)
- CO2 dive + written exam
You will have up to 1 year to complete any remaining requirements after the course if needed.

Selected sites chosen to match training goals and comfort
levels.
- Group size: small groups only (to guarantee personalized attention).
- Equipment: candidates should bring their own gear; rentals can be arranged on request.
- Logistics: transportation from base, pool/park fees and snacks are included.
