Prerequisites & requirements

Minimum age: 18 years.
Valid medical clearance in SSI format.
For Freediver Instructor course: SSI Advanced Freediver certification (or equivalent).
For Advanced Freediver Instructor: SSI Performance Freediver (or equivalent) as required.
Current CPR and O2 Provider certification.
SSI Training Techniques specialty.
Demonstrated strong personal freediving skills and a professional, respectful attitude.

This course is performance-based; candidates must demonstrate solid skills, knowledge and the right mindset to teach.

Practical information & support

Duration: Freediver Instructor 10 days - Advanced Freediver Instructor 11 days
Location: Cenotes, Riviera Maya — chosen sites that ensure consistent, calm training conditions.
Group size: intentionally small to maximize personal feedback and mastery.
Included: transport from base, site & pool fees, snacks.
Gear: bring your personal equipment; rentals available on request.

Preparation & guidance: I will support you with pre-course preparation and recommend training days if you want to refine skills before the ITC. I also offer a free consultation call to discuss readiness and build a tailored plan.
